ElectroMechanical Systems Designed integrated many flight simulation cockpit and visual systems while employed by Lockheed Aeronautical Systems. Aircraft simulated include C-5, C130, F-22, F-35, and multipurpose Fighter cockpits used to fly all other known US and foreign fighter aircraft. Jim Spruell (president of Logical EM Systems) Was system Architect and chief integrator of the $100,000,000+ F-22/F-35 Air Combat Simulation facility that simulated the F-22 and F-35 and all the aircraft they would fly with and against. This facility had 4 F-22 or F-35 cockpits, 8 threat cockpits, and two sets of flight controller stations (ground and/or AWACS operators). Each F-22/35 cockpit has 20 projector 360 degree visual systems and the threat cockpits each have a 4 projector 180 degree visual systems. The simulation software runs on a 320 processor cluster of super computers and over 300 PC's are used to drive projectors, cockpit displays, I/O, and audio systems.
After forming Logical EM Systems we have designed high fidelity simulated flight control systems for F-22, F-35, and F-16 aircraft. To support these products we also designed and are supplying Embedded Microprocessor I/O card that interfaces flight controls and other cockpit I/O to host computers using either USB or Ethernet. These products are now produced and sold by Bugeye Technologies, Inc and can be seen on their web site http://www.bugeye-tech.com . Also produced C++ support software to assist Bugeye's customers setup and integrate these I/O systems with Windows or UNIX/Linux host computers.
